H.W. Bush's Grandson Announces Congressional Run

Pierce Bush

Another Bush is getting into Texas politics. Pierce Bush announced his decision to run for Congress in the 22nd District right outside of Houston. Bush says America is facing a challenging time because of the rise of socialism. The Republican says it's important to stand for conservatism which places individuals above government. Bush is heavily involved in charity in the Houston area and currently serves as the CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star. He's the son of Neil Bush, the middle child of former President George H.W. Bush and the nephew of former President George W. Bush. The 22nd District is currently represented by retiring Republican Congressman Pete Olson. Over a dozen other Republicans, including Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls, are running to replace Olson.
