Pelosi: Judiciary Committee Will Draft Articles Of Impeachment

House Leader Nancy Pelosi Speaks To Press On The Status Of The Impeachment Inquiry

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says the Judiciary Committee will start drafting articles of impeachment against President Trump. Speaking at the Capitol, Pelosi argued that Trump violated the Constitution in the Ukraine scandal. She said the "facts are uncontested -- the President abused power for his personal benefit, at the expense of national security, by withholding military aid" to Ukraine "for an announcement of an investigation into his political rival." That was a reference to former VP Joe Biden. Pelosi argued that no one is above the law.

President Trump says the "Do Nothing Democrats" had a bad day yesterday in the impeachment inquiry in the House Judiciary Committee. In a series of tweets this morning, the President said Democrats have no case for impeachment and are "demeaning the country, but nothing matters to them, they have gone crazy." Trump explained that if the House were to impeach him, he wanted it to go fast so he can have a fair trial in the Senate and the country can get back to business.
