Gun battle south of the Texas border leaves more than 20 dead

A gun battle south of the border lasted nearly an hour on Saturday and when it was over more than 20 people had been killed, including four police officers. It happened in the Mexican town of Villa Union, in the Coahuila state, which is located about 45 miles south of Eagle Pass, Texas.

The gun battle involved security forces and members of a suspected cartel.

Fox News reports the armed group of suspected cartel members stormed the town of 3,000 residents in a convoy of trucks, attacking local government offices and prompting state and federal forces to intervene.
