Judge Recused From Dallas DA Contempt Case

The judge who brought a contempt of court charge against Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot has been recused from presiding over the case. State District Judge Tammy Kemp held Creuzot in contempt during the trial for former police officer Amber Guyger after he gave an interview to FOX 4 that aired the night before the trial began. Judge Kemp said Creuzot had violated a gag order. The decision was made yesterday during a hearing that Judge Kemp was not allowed to be in. The hearing also ended Kemp's order blocking the DA's Office from defending Creuzot. The DA's attorneys argued Kemp was biased after she reacted angrily to the interview.
