Sheriff Releases Suspect In Greenville Party Shooting Case

Accident or crime scene cordon tape

The man in custody in the Hunt County party shooting is free and no longer a suspect.  Yesterday, Brandon Ray Gonzales was let go by the Hunt County Sheriff's office. Sheriff Randy Meeks requested the District Attorney's office not prosecute Gonzales who was facing murder charges in the deaths of two at the October 26th party in Greenville. Sheriff Meeks says Gonzales is being released because of the lack of cooperation from witnesses as well as exculpatory evidence in Gonzales' favor that investigators have uncovered since his arrest on October 28th.
