Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is warning a North Texas contractor about some fliers it sent out after the recent tornadoes. The AG's office sent a cease-and-desist letter to Prepaid Home Deductible, located in Allen. The Attorney General's office says the fliers made elderly residents think the Texas Department of Insurance was requiring them to work with the contractor or face misdemeanor charges punishable by jail time or a fine. The AG describes the fliers' claims as a deceptive trade practice.
