The owner of the Dallas Cowboys is helping repair a Dallas high school. Jerry Jones donated one-million-dollars to Jefferson High school after a storm destroyed the campus last week. The school district was forced to move students to the old Thomas Edison Middle School, in the midst of their homecoming week. Others have also pitched in, Southern Methodist University donated football equipment after Jefferson High's was destroyed so they could play in their homecoming game.
Shark Tank host and Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban later tweeted he'd match Jones' donation. Cuban said, "Well done Jerry !!! I'll match your generosity !"
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson later tweeted, "Just heard great news from @mcuban. He will add $1 million to his initial $100k contribution to the Dallas Education Foundation! Thank you, Mark, for this extremely generous gift for @dallasschools students! It will be a major boon to our city’s recovery from Sunday’s tornado."
