Texas Tornadoes Caused $2B In Losses

Tornado Leaves Leveled Buildings In Its Wake In North Dallas

It's going to take a record amount of money to rebuild after tornadoes ripped through northern Texas over the weekend. The Insurance Council of Texas said it will take about two billion dollars to repair the damage, which is the most ever for a tornado outbreak in the state. Nine tornadoes ripped through the area, causing damage to buildings, ripping trees out of the ground and snapping utility poles. Three people were also taken to the hospital with storm-related injures. Previously, a 2015 tornado that caused one-point-two billion in damage to Garland and Rowlett was the most costly on record.
