Outgoing Texas House Speaker Dennis Bonnen will not be charged for his meeting with a conservative activist. The Brazoria County DA's Office said today Bonnen did not break any laws when he met with Empower Texans CEO Michael Quinn Sullivan in June although he was criticized for demeaning and offensive statements. Sullivan secretly recorded the meeting and released the audio last week. Bonnen announced earlier this week he would not seek re-election.
