A community hearing on the effect mass shootings have on an individual's life is coming up in El Paso. The Mass Violence Prevention and Community Safety State Senate Select Committee is hosting the free public meeting so that residents can speak up on the effect recent mass shootings have had on their lives. Texas lawmakers say the feedback is critical information they want to assess for their ongoing process of creating laws to protect Texans in the future. The event takes place Monday, October 21st from 2-p.m. to 7-p.m. at the El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center on the UTEP campus.
