Game 4 of the ALCS has been rained out and will now take place on Thursday night.
On Tuesday night, Gerrit Cole weaved his way in and out of trouble, pitching seven scoreless innings as the Astros beat the Yankees 4-1 in Game Three of the American League Championship Series in New York. Cole walked five, but stranded nine runners in the first five innings. Jose Altuve and Josh Reddick hit solo homers for Houston. The 'Stros tacked on two more in seventh to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Gleyber Torres homered in the eighth for New York. Luis Severino took the loss.
The Yankees host Game 4 on Thursday night. Game 5 will take place on Friday night.
