George Springer launched three home runs as the Astros clinched the AL West with a 13-5 win over the Angels in Houston. Springer finished with four RBI and pushed his season total of homers to 38. Justin Verlander earned his 20th win with five frames of two-run ball. Alex Bregman and Aledmys Diaz also left the yard for Houston, which has won three straight AL West titles. Michael Hermosillo tripled and plated two runs for the Angels in defeat. Jose Rodriguez was charged with the loss. The Halos went 2-and-4 in their final road trip of the season.
