Flooding causes travel problems in Houston

Flooding is causing travel problems in the Houston area today. Bush Intercontinental Airport issued a ground stop at one point and delays continue as it is difficult to get in and out of the airport. All Metro service was also stopped due to the flooding. Some areas received 10 to 20 inches of rain, with higher totals reported in areas east of Houston as a result of Tropical Depression Imelda. Mayor Sylvester Turner urged residents to stay indoors and off the roads, if at all possible, until the heaviest rain moves through.
