The Department of Justice is announcing it is charging 58 people in Texas, including six doctors, in what it's calling health care fraud. U.S. Assistant Attorney General Brian Benczkowski made the announcement in Dallas today. He said they have stopped fraud cases that have cost Americans 66-million-dollars. In addition to the six doctors, the Department of Justice is also charging seven pharmacists. Many of the cases involve opioid cases. U.S. Attorney John Bash of the Western Texas District said these fraud cases contribute to the 45-thousand Americans who die each year because of opioid addiction.
