Dallas Police Association Wants Guyger Trial Delayed

Law and Justice concept. Mallet of the judge, books, scales of justice. Courtroom theme.

The Dallas Police Association wants the Amber Guyger trial delayed at least 60 days until after the State Fair. DPA President Mike Mata says officers would be stretched too thin because of the amount of people set to come to Dallas for the Fair. Guyger, who was fired from DPD after being charged with murder in last year's killing of Botham Jean [[ BOH-tham JZON ]], is set to face a jury next week. The Fair starts a few days later. Jean's family attorney says any delay would be absurd.
