Matt Olson hit a two-run homer and the A's beat the Astros and Justin Verlander 3-2 in Houston. After losing the first game 15-0 on Monday, the A's won the next three and lead the Rays by a half-game for the top AL wild card. Homer Bailey pitched five-and-a-third of three-hit, one-run ball for the win. Liam Hendriks closed it out for his 21st save. Verlander struck out 11 over six innings, but fell to 18-and-6. Jose Altuve homered for Houston, which went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position. The 'Stros have lost three in-a-row.
