Jury Selection Going On In Amber Guyger Murder Trial

Legal office of lawyers, justice and law concept : Wooden judge gavel or a wood hammer and a soundboard used by a judge person on a desk in a courtroom with a blurred brass scale of justice behind.

Hundreds of potential jurors are being vetted in the trial of a former Dallas cop accused of murdering an unarmed black man. Prosecutors and defense attorneys for Amber Guyger are trying to weed through the candidates today inside the Frank Crowley Courthouse. The process is starting one year to the day when Guyer shot Botham Jean to death inside his apartment. The pair lived in the same complex and Guyger said she accidentally went to Jean's unit thinking it was her own. Her attorneys are trying to get the trial moved out of Dallas County citing media coverage. Guyer was indicted for murder last November.
