Hurricane Dorian Now Category 5

Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian is now a Category 5 hurricane. The National Hurricane Center says the eyewall of the "now catastrophic" Category 5 hurricane is about to hit the northwestern Bahamas with devastating winds, life-threatening storm surge and very heavy rainfall. Dorian now has sustained winds of 160 miles an hour, and is about 35 miles east of Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas, and is 225 miles east of West Palm Beach, Florida. Tropical storm watches in Florida have been upgraded to tropical storm warnings, meaning storm conditions are expected within 36 hours. The National Hurricane Center says the risk is growing for south and central Florida.
