FBI Received Spike In Tips Following El Paso Shootings

The FBI says it received nearly 40-thousand tips in the week after deadly mass shootings in Texas and Ohio. That's a significant spike from the normal 22-thousand it receives on a weekly basis. The shootings in El Paso and Dayton left over 30 people dead in less than one day earlier this month. Despite the increase in threat tips, the Bureau notes that not all of the calls to its National Threat Operations Center result in investigations.
