Innovative idea in businessman hand.

A recent study ranks Texas as the fifth most innovative state in the nation. The determinations of the Business-dot-Org study are based on the amount of research and development spending per 100-thousand population using data from the National Science Foundation. The study says Texas companies spend more than $173,000 per 100-thousand people on R&D. California is in first place, with a figure of more than a million-dollars. Alaska is dead last, with a total of $340.
