El Paso Shooter Suspect Confesses He Was Targeting "Mexicans"

US-SHOOTING-EL PASO

The 21-year-old suspect charged with opening fire on an El Paso Walmart is confessing to police that he was targeting "Mexicans." According to the affidavit obtained by The Washington Post, Patrick Crusius told police that he was the shooter and he fired an AK-47 after walking into the store, killing 22 people and injuring dozens. Crusius surrendered to police after they spotted his car at an intersection near the Walmart. Federal authorities are investigating the case as an act of domestic terrorism, but authorities are looking to bring hate crimes charges against Crusius if he published a manifesto online before the attack with anti-immigrant rhetoric and warned of a "Hispanic invasion."
