The price of gas in San Antonio has begun to fall after two months of steady increases, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
AAA Texas' Josh Zuber says the average price in San Antonio today is at $2.41. That's down from $2.44 this time last week.
"This is really welcome news for drivers as they are still really enjoying the summer peak driving season," Zuber said.
There are several reasons for the drop.
"We are actually seeing gasoline stocks at a decent, ample level, plus demand is dropping."
He says oil prices have stabilized after run ups caused by increasing tensions with Iran.
Also, this is the time of year that gas prices usually begin their autumn decline, culminating in the low price for the year, usually hit in late January.
