A tent city site is coming to Laredo for asylum processing. The structure is for officials to use, not to house immigrants. It is part of the Migrant Protection Protocol agreed upon by the United States and Mexico also referred to as the Remain In Mexico program. Brownsville and Yuma, Arizona are also getting similar structures. Laredo Congressman Henry Cuellar says the structure should be up and running in about a month.
