Hurricane Barry has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm after hitting the Louisiana coast. The National Hurricane Center reports that the storm's maximum sustained winds are about 70 miles-an-hour after it hit land near Intracoastal City, Louisiana this afternoon. Forecasters caution that dangerous storm surge, heavy rains and high winds will continue across the region during the next 48 hours.
