The Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso was closed for a while this morning after an apparent protest broke out on the bridge. El Paso police assisted Customs and Border Protection agents in bring things under control. Eyewitnesses say they saw what appeared to be a large group rush the bridge from the Mexico side appearing to try to get into the United States during the incident. The group reportedly consisted of Cuban and El Salvadoran migrants. The port of entry has since re-opened. Customs and Border Protection officials have yet to give more details about what took place.
