The Border Patrol says it rescued a six month old boy from drowning in the Rio Grande near Roma, Texas. Agents heard screams coming from the river where a mother and infant had gone underwater after their raft deflated. When agents pulled them out, the child was no longer breathing and they began performing first aid until the baby was able to breath on his own. The infant and his mother were then transported to the Mission Regional Hospital in Mission, Texas, for treatment and evaluation.
