Amtrak has announced it's suspending service between Fort Worth and St. Louis through June 7th as a result of flooding in Arkansas. Amtrak service levels for this period are unchanged between San Antonio and Fort Worth and between Chicago and St. Louis.
Flooding issues on the Union Pacific Railroad network resulting in diverted freight train traffic is leading to this temporary service suspension on the route which normally operates daily between Chicago and San Antonio via Little Rock and Dallas. No substitute transportation is available through the service suspension area other than the scheduled Trinity Railway Express commuter train service between Fort Worth and Dallas.
