A fix to the state's 2015 "revenge porn" law is on the way to Gov. Greg Abbott after being unanimously approved by the Texas Senate on Sunday. The bill fixes a problem raised last year by an appeals court, which ruled the measure was unconstitutionally broad because somebody who didn't know an image was originally from a revenge porn site could be prosecuted for reposting it. The new bill specifies that the material must be posted "with the intent to harm" somebody who thought it would be kept private.
