Buda, with the motto "breathe easy here," is banning offensive odors. The Buda City Council approved an ordinance this week which prohibits smells interfering with the "comfortable enjoyment of private homes." Unpleasant aromas include chemicals, smoke, stagnant pools, and dead animals. People who violate the ordinance could be fined 500 dollars. Buda is just south of Austin.
