Heavy security including experimental drone detection radar is in place around Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Super Bowl 53 on Sunday. The FCC granted Echodyne permission to use its high-tech equipment to scan for unauthorized drones during the big game. Authorities have implemented a 30-mile no-drone zone around the stadium. The company says its equipment is military-grade and can detect drones too small to be picked up by normal radar. Anyone caught flying drones in the area could face stiff penalties and criminal prosecution. Kickoff is 6:30 p.m. EST Sunday between the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots.
