Archbishop Today to Name Priests 'Credibly Accused' of Sexual Misconduct

The eyes of a hundred local Catholic parishes will be on Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller today as he names names in his year long investigation into local priests who have been 'credibly accused of sexually abusing minors' over the past sixty plus years, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Last year, the Archbishop vowed full accountability on pedophile priests dating back to the 1950s, and urged any individuals who had evidence of priest misconduct to come forward.

All 15 Catholic dioceses in Texas, as well as the Ordinate of the Chair of St. Peter vowed to release all records of clergy members who have been credibly accused of sexually abusing a minor.

The Archdiocese didn't say what punishment the priests who are still living may face. Several local priests who have died have already been named by the Archdiocese as having been 'credibly accused' of misconduct.
