New Braunfels Temporarily Bans Commercial Motorized Scooters

New Braunfels Assistant Chief of Police Joe Vargas signed a temporary order prohibiting the commercial use of commercial motorized scooters on Wednesday.

According to a press release, the order was made in the immediate interest of public safety so that the use of scooters can be addressed through the proper channels of city government.

The ban will be in place for 90 days.

The New Braunfels Police Department will be able to cite anyone using a motorized scooter if they are acquired through a commercial business. Fines will not be in excess $500 and the order is effective immediately.
