Bexar County Deputies Sunday re-arrested a jail inmate who was improperly released without a GPS tracking device which has been ordered as one of the terms of his release, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Terrik McCoy, 26, was spotted in the front yard of a home on Dorrie St, on the east side, and was arrested without incident.
A 32 year old man who was wanted for an unrelated misdemeanor charge was also taken into custody.
McCoy will be booked into jail pending fitting for a GPS device.
It's the latest in a series of mistake releases at the jail.
Earlier this month, an inmate was was ordered released on a state charge walked out of the jail despite being named inan immigration 'hold,' a potential violation of the state 'Anti Sanctuary City' law.
Last month, an inmate was improperly released due to a 'clerical error.'. Earlier last year, three accused killers escaped from the jail, but were re-arrested within hours.
