A disturbance at a northeast side dance hall ended Sunday morning with the man creating the disturbance shot to death by the dance hall security guard, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the dance hall on Naco Perrin had been rented out for a private event, and a guest whobwas attended the private event had been ejected.
The man who had been ejected got into fights in the parking lot.. A security guard approached, and police say the man ran to his car to grab a gun.
When he pointed the gun at the guard, the guard ordered the man to drop the gun. When he refused, the guard pulled his legally carried handgun and fired one shot.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.. Police are still investigating and no charges have been filed.
