Gunfire erupted on a southwest side street when two thieves allegedly attempted to drive off with a man's truck trailer, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the homeowner noticed the theft and opened fire on the suspects, who returned fire.It happened on Painted Horse St, which is off Old Pearsall Rd.
One man, believed to be one of the suspects, was shot and was rushed to the hospital with non life threatening wounds. Another man ran off.
The homeowner was not injured and is being questioned by police.
