During the 2016 presidential campaign Donald Trump once suggested he would probably tweet less once he was elected, but that is not the case. The President ended 2018 with more than 600 tweets over his total the year before. Trump made more than 2,800 tweets last year, an average of nearly eight tweets per day. His biggest tweet day was August 29th following primary elections in Arizona and Florida when he made 22 tweets.
