Seguin Police: Prophecy Gunman Thought He Was in Vidor, Texas

More bizarre details in the case of Tony Albert, 33, who was arrested in Seguin on Sunday armed and wearing a mask, and telling police he was going to a church to fulfill a prophecy, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

A Seguin Police spokeswoman says Albert was looking for a Baptist church in Vidor, Texas, which is a town in  southeast Texas near Beaumont.

Police didnt say why Albert was interested in the church in Vidor, or what connections, if any, he may have to Vidor.

Albert was wearing a surgical mask covering his face and carrying a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun with extra ammo when a Seguin resident noticed his odd appearance and notified police.

The FBI has also joined the investigation.  Albert is held in the Guadalupe County Jail on possession of marijuana charges, as well as charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
