An eleven year old boy is being held in youth services after he allegedly stabbed a playmate during an argument, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say it happened in the vicinity of Gold Dust St, which is on the far west side south of Potranco Rd. Because juveniles are involved, the exact location was not revealed.
Police say the suspect and a 12 year old boy got into an argument as they walked through a bar ditch near Gold Dust, The two boys started fighting, and as the 12 year old boy started winning the fight, the 11 year old pulled 'one or two' knives.'
The 12 year old said he 'wasn't afraid of a knife,' at which time the 11 year old stabbed him in the stomach.
The victim was rushed to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The suspect ran off but was quickly captured.
Police say he has been turned over to juvenile officials and there is no word on what charges he may face.
