Tear Gas Ends Hours-Long Standoff Overnight

San Antonio Police SWAT team officers fired tear gas into an east side home overnight to end a standoff of nearly 12 hours, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police on the scene told News Radio 1200 WOAI a woman and two children were being 'held against their will' in the house in the 700 block of Martin Luther King from Tuesday morning into Tuesday evening.

Officers say there were four male suspects inside the house with the captives.

After staking out the house all day, they saw two of the men get into a car with the three.  They followed the car and arrested the two suspects without incident.  They say the three captives were not hurt.

But two other men remained inside the house, and, after ignoring demand that they surrender, tear gas was fired inside the home, and the men quickly surrendered.

Police aren't sure what the relationship is, if any, between any of the men and the three captives.  The four men will face undetermined charges as detectives try to sort it out.
