Two men are hospitalized with multiple injuries, after the car they were in smashed through a railing on a Loop 1604 bridge and plunged twenty feet onto Stone Oak Parkway, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the car the men were in was westbound on 1604 when the driver said they were hit from behind.
The car spun out of control and smashed into a concrete barrier.. It managed to actually drive on the barrier before dropping off the edge, plummeting front-first onto the busy street below.
Fortunately, the car didn't hit any vehicles or pedestrians as it fell, smashing into the asphalt road surface.
The driver and a passenger, both in their 20s, were rushed to the hospital with injuries that paramedics said are very serious, but not life-threatening..
