The San Antonio Aquarium, which was the scene of a high profile shark heist earlier this year, was ordered temporarily shut down today following a fire inspection, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The San Antonio Aquarium is actually located on Bandera Rd. in Leon Valley. Officials said inspectors found 'unsecured propane tanks and heaters in unvented enclosures,' which could lead to a build up of flammable gasses and carbon monoxide.
There are no reports of any humans or fish being sickened by the gas build up.The City of Leon Valley said in a statement that 'hazardous electrical wiring' was also found at the Aquarium.
They said emergency exits had been blocked.Inspectors said they will work with the Aquarium on the issues, to assist it in reopening as soon as all the problems are corrected.
