Police: Suspect in Murder Had Violated Parole on Another Charge

Police say a 28 year old man charged with gunning down a patron of a northwest side sports bar early today had skipped parole on a previous violation, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say Nabor Marquiz Ramos got into an argument with the victim inside the sports bar in the 1300 block of Bandera, which is near Hillcrest inside Loop 410.

Police say Ramos had been thrown out of the bar for making a disturbance, but rather than go home, he sat in his car in the parking lot waiting for the victim to emerge.  When he walked out , police say a friend of Ramos punched the victim, and then Ramos pulled a gun and shot him.

The victim was pronounced dead in the parking lot.

The two men jumped back into the car and drove off, but police arrested him almost immediately.

Ramos is charged with murder, and held on $150,000 bond.  But he was ordered remanded to jail due to his parole violation.
