Several cats were killed in a fire that damaged a northwest side town home, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Firefighters were called to the Park at Collonnade Apartments at I-10 and Parkdale, off Wurzbach Rd, about 11PM to find smoke pouring out of the window of one of the town homes.
The fire was contained to the one apartment, but damage was extensive, set at $100,000..
The people who life in the town hoe, a woman and two special needs kids were out of the apartment at the time, and nobody was hurt.. Firefighters said several cats in the apartment died in the fire.
The fire started in the kitchen and has been ruled accidental.
