A man is dead following a shooting in front of an east side home early Sunday, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say the man answered a knock on the door at his home on Skelton St, which is just east of WW White Rd, about 2 AM.
Police say the victim, in his 20s, argued with several men who came to his home. One of them pulled a gun and shot the victim several times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The gunmen ran away and remain at large. Police say there is evidence that the victim had arranged a dope deal on social media, and the shooting was the result of the deal being bungled.
