The holidays have formally arrived, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The 50 foot Blue Spruce which will be the official H-E-B Christmas tree was hoisted into place in Travis Park this morning.
The next step is to put some 10,000 sparking lights on the tree, to get it ready for its month-long close-up.
It will be officially lighted on November, during the annual Holiday River Parade.
