A pilot was killed and a second pilot has been rushed to the hospital after a U.S. Air Force T-38C Talon trainer jet crashed at Laughlin Air Force Base near Del Rio Tuesday night, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The Air Force said in a statement that the incident happened on base.  The injured pilot was rushed to Val Verde Medical Center.
