A 15 year old boy has been arrested in connection with the city's latest murder, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say a 20 year old man walked out of the apartment on Drury Lane, which is near McCollum High School, and was walking toward his girlfriend's car, which was waiting in front, when he suddenly exchanged words with the teenager.
The teenager pulled a gun and shot the man as he was getting into the car.
The woman sped away and tried to get to a downtown hospital, but she pulled into the parking lot of the Best Western Alamo Suites in the 1000 block of South Laredo, where the victim died in the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
Police tracked the suspect to the apartment and he has been apprehended. No word on what charges the 15 year old might face.
