Closing Time Argument at North Side Bar Leads to Shooting

A man was rushed to the hospital with no vital signs this morning after he was shot in a dispute that began at closing time in the parking lot of a north side bar, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say the man was harassing a group of people in the parking lot of Sugar's, at Loop 410 and Vance Jackson, as the bar emptied out at 2AM.

The man then jumped into a car and drove off, and the people he had been hassling got into their own car and followed him.The pursuit wound through the city's west side, before ending in the 300 block of Stonegate Drive, which is just east of St. Mary's University, where the pursuers opened fire into the man's car.

He was hit in the head and had no vital signs when police arrived.  He was rushed to University Hospital in extremely critical condition.

The people who shot him sped away and remain at large.
