Students Evaluated Following Somerset ISD Bus Wreck

It was a rough ride to school this morning for 40 to 50 Somerset ISD students, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Department says the bus they were riding to class in was rear-ended by a vehicle in the 20000 block of Highway 16 South.

Officials say the students were being evaluated by medical personnel.  Some were taken to a hospital for a check up, but none appeared to be seriously injured.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the bus was trapped in the car by the wreckage until EMS was able to cut him out.

The wet road surface is believed to have been a factor in the wreck.  No word on whether the driver will face any charges.
