Redskins Edge Cowboys

A strip-sack and defensive touchdown ruined the Cowboys' comeback attempt in a 20-17 loss to the Redskins at FedEx Field.  The Redskins led by three with five minutes to play when Ryan Kerrigan strip-sacked Dak Prescott near the goal line and Preston Smith recovered the ball for a score.  Alex Smith threw a touchdown pass and Adrian Peterson fell one yard short of 100.  The Redskins are first in the NFC East at 4-and-2.  Prescott threw for a score and ran for another in the loss.  Ezekiel Elliott was limited to 33 yards on 15 carries.  Michael Gallup caught three passes for 81 yards and a touchdown as Dallas fell to 3-and-4 and 0-and-4 on the road.  Brent Maher missed a field goal as time expired that would have sent the game to overtime.
